Enroll

Vista Meadows Academy (VMA) is a public school academy, which is an independently operated, tuition-free public school funded by state and federal money. As a public school, Vista Meadows Academy is open to everyone.

Vista Meadows Academy accepts new student applications all year long but only those submitted during the Open Enrollment period are eligible for inclusion into the random selection process if that process is deemed necessary.

The dates for the Open Enrollment Period are established at the beginning of each school year. Families new to the academy must submit completed applications for their child(ren) on or before the last day of the Open Enrollment period to ensure placement.

If there are enough seats available to accommodate all of the applications received, all applicants will have a seat. If more applications are received than available seats, a random selection drawing or public lottery is conducted to fill any available seats. Applications received after the close of Open Enrollment are placed on a wait list in the order received.

Prior to the Open Enrollment period each year, all current VMA students re-enroll for the next school year. It is after re-enrollment of current students that the number of open seats for the new school is established. Siblings of a currently enrolled student are given sibling preference on the waitlist; however, this is not a guarantee that a seat will become available.
